U.S. Uranium Restart: UEC from Zero to Millions of Pounds
U.S. uranium production restarts in 2026. UEC scales from near zero to millions of pounds with zero debt.
In the spring of 2026, something not seen in over a decade occurred in the U.S. domestic uranium industry. Uranium Energy Corp officially commenced production at its Burke Hollow project in southern Texas. This marked the end of a full 14-year cycle of exploration, permitting, and construction since the geological team first discovered mineralization on the approximately 20,000-acre property in 2012. At the same time, in Wyoming’s Christensen Ranch, three newly built satellite ion exchange facilities have been put into operation, with several more awaiting final approval from the state environmental agency or still under construction. Together with the Ludeman project, scheduled to start in 2027, UEC 0.00%↑ is simultaneously advancing three in-situ recovery (ISR) uranium platforms, aiming to lift U.S. domestic uranium production from near-zero levels back to several million pounds per year.
